Electromechanical Technician

The Electromechanical technician is responsible for the installation and repair of production and facility equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Performing preventative maintenance checks on industrial equipment
• Replacing worn parts and components
• Reading blueprints and technical manuals to understand equipment operation
• Utilizing specialized tools and diagnostic equipment
• Working in various industrial equipment
• Perform minor welding and fabrication tasks to repair damaged parts when necessary
• Install new machinery, align components, and ensure proper functionality according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts used, and equipment issues
• Excellent analytical skills to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, including gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools including wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, and measuring devices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and maintenance manuals
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting electrical components may be required
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Physical stamina for lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces, and stand for extended period of time
