What part will you play?



  • The Support Services Engineer is an extension of our client's staff and report daily to their assigned client site. They are responsible for ongoing support for the use and functionality of audio and video technology, providing support for users, meeting, and events, and may be involved in the planning and implementation of change or new installation of AV, Video, or related solutions at the client location.
  • The Support Services Engineer assigned to the customer shall assist in the utilization, operation, and implementation of the AV/V (audio visual/video) systems located at the customer's facilities and any local off-site meetings. Any cost associated with customer-approved travel or other costs related to supporting remote facilities are billed to the client separately. Will conform to Customer Expense procedures. Duties of the Support Services Engineer shall include but not limited to the following as required by the Customer.


What will you be doing?



  • Primary responsibilities for VTC and AV incident management support including problem determination and resolution of AV Systems, Video endpoints and related infrastructure
  • Experience with operation, bridging and administration of video endpoints
  • Experience in the operation and troubleshooting of AV control
  • Experienced with audio mixing, signal flow, signal tracing
  • Coordinates with Client staff to assist in determining AV/V and basic infrastructure requirements for any new conference room or media design
  • Setup, manager or assist with events, meetings, or functions - based on complexity - that require use of audio, video conferencing, webcasting, visual display or projection, basic video conferencing, recording, control system (Crestron) operation
  • The Support Services Engineer should be capable of setting up and running basic events, with more complicated requirements calling for advanced production skills. For such complicated events, the Support Services Engineer will assist and perform various duties associated with the event.
  • Coordinate with Client contractors involved with ongoing support of systems and technologies
  • Act as AV/V support for local, offsite meeting
  • Support Services Engineer to be always dressed in proper attire
  • Sets up and manages an AV/V maintenance and replacement schedule and inventory for all in-house equipment. Develop room and building inventory with current usage and forecasted upgrades.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs AV/V problems as required or identifies problems and reports for manufacturer service
  • Conforms to Client's change management procedures.


What do we require from you?

Education/Certifications:



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


  • CTS certification from AVIXA (preferred)
  • manufacturer certifications (QSC, Cisco, Clear One, Crestron, Extron, etc.) (preferred)
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record


Required/Desired Knowledge, Experience and Skills:



  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise level AV support
  • Experience testing and troubleshooting complex AV systems, as well as strong knowledge of proper equipment rack wiring standards and event best practices
  • Experience with major industry manufacturers including QSC, Crestron, Cisco , Microsoft, Biamp, and/or Poly
  • Competencies in Video Conferencing products (Cisco preference)
  • Competencies in QSC control systems (trouble shooting, basic communication concepts and protocols)
  • Competencies in Crestron control systems (trouble shooting, basic communication concepts and protocols)
  • Experience with Advanced AV Signal Flow Diagramming and Advanced Troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of signal flow for: audio, video, control systems, lighting, networking, access control, phone systems, and camera systems
  • General proficiency with computers and specialized software applications specific to the AV industry (i.e. Crestron; the use of programs such as MS Excel, Outlook, Project, Word)
  • Knowledge and experience in computer networking configuration/troubleshooting
  • Must present well as client facing and working with high level executives within high pressure meeting situations

Our compensation ranges reflect the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The pay details below range from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience depending on the position offered, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
