Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Principal Engineer/Area Manager to join our growing Design Management Services team in Virginia Beach or Newport News, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience in site design/land development, stormwater management, grading, drainage, and utility design. This position has the unique ability to partner with and learn from some of the best engineers, project managers, and other technical staff in the industry. Our Civil engineers are part of a site development team where they will design improvements including site layout, utilities, grading, drainage, erosion control, and stormwater management for a wide range of private and public clients throughout Virginia. The Principal Engineer/Area Manager role is vital in driving sustainable growth for the Firm and the Infrastructure Sector by supporting business development growth and by providing collaborative leadership needed in each of our main regions. Work with other Division Managers and Senior Leadership to support and enhance business development, improve communication between offices and divisions, and maintain a work environment that drives the Firm's culture and values. The Firm's goal is to grow our volume of work, grow dedicated regional staffing, instill our commitment to exceptional client service, enhance standardization of practices, and maintain one culture. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
