Essential Functions and Primary Duties



  • Manage the overall accounting and financial reporting function by reviewing journal entries, completing account reconciliations, and preparing financial statements
  • Examine completed financial statements and provide timely review notes to staff to ensure client needs are being met consistently
  • Review and sign quarterly and annual payroll tax returns
  • Increase the accuracy and transparency of the company's financial standing by preparing reports and dashboards to help our clients understand their financial data and provide solutions to enhance best practices
  • Perform cash projections to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balance
  • Proactively identify accounting, internal control, and financial reporting deficiencies and provide guidance for implementing solutions and process improvements
  • Train and assist with the development of new and current staff


Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting
  • 6+ years of accounting experience (public accounting preferred, but not required)
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online and/or willingness to embrace new technology
  • Highly adept at planning and organizing workload to manage multiple client engagements in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ability to multi-task, think independently and be an expert problem solver


Minimum Qualifications Required



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6 years of experience in public accounting or related field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • Must have active CPA or equivalent certification
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
