Lubbock Program Manager - Sports Programs 39473BR University Recreation Student Fees Position Description Manages a subunit within a department. Plans, organizes, and develops goals and procedures. Represents the subunit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises undergraduate student staff. In this leadership role a non-traditional work schedule will be provided during "in-season" competition. This will include evening and weekend leadership and engagement with student staff and participants. Having primary responsibilities in leading an Intramural Sports program that includes 40 leagues, tournaments, and events annually; student staff that includes approximately 30 Sport Programs Staff and 150+ officials; with additional duties supporting and leading the Sport Club program, Youth Summer Sports Camp, and UREC Outdoor Field Complexes. This individual is critical in helping deliver outstanding competitive and leisure programs to the Red Raider campus community. Specific duties will be tailored around the strengths of the person hired and designed to help them grow professionally. Major/Essential Functions
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Preferred Qualifications

Travel Required Up to 25% Shift Day Schedule Details Monday-Thursday, combination of two days, 8am-5pm/11am-8pm, Friday, 8am-5pm; Morning, evening, and weekend work required based upon training and competition schedule.
