Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Network Engineer to join the Network Infrastructure team. Reporting to the Network Manager, the candidate will be responsible for supporting the on-premise (datacenter) and cloud network infrastructure. The successful candidate will have advanced/expert knowledge of networking including Cisco and Dell switching, Cisco firewalls, and Cisco routing. Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, and understanding of storage infrastructure is recommended. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, willing to own and master the networking environment and identify and make recommendations for improvements

Responsibilities:

* Responsible for ensuring the movement of data through highly available networks that comprise the on-premise and cloud network environments.

* Provide highly skilled technical assistance in network planning, engineering, and architecture.

* Develop technical standards and documentation, identify, and evaluate new products, and provide resolution for network problems.

* Identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance/availability.

* Evaluate new technologies and platforms to determine whether their applicability aligns with the business's needs.

* Evaluates and identifies opportunities for network performance and functionality improvements.

* Work with technical team to ensure that hardware infrastructure is maintained with latest firmware requirements for security and reliability.

* Manage basic and expedited support to resolve all networking related issues.

* Proactively communicate the status, plan of action(s), and resolution(s) of issues.

* Produce periodic reports of performance and operational status.

Experience:

* Experience with public cloud providers

o Experience with AWS/Azure Networking and configurations (ALB/ELB/Global Accelerators/Tunnels)

o Target groups/security groups

o Vnet configurations and Vnet-Vnet peering

o Transit gateway or transit VPN experience

* 6-8 years of current Network Engineering experience required. Immediate contributor with experience working with most of the following IS systems, protocols and or software/hardware:

o LTM/GTM Load Balancers (Fortinet or F5 or similar)

o Dell 3K/4K/5K/6K switch experience

o Cisco ISR routers, Catalyst switches and ASA firewalls, Cisco Any connect experience.

o BGP, EIGRP, TACACS, DNS, DHCP

* Experience in developing technical solutions both independently and in a team solving environment

* Experience supporting multiple datacenters and cloud providers and their associated connectivity

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent

* Ability to travel to the datacenter for on-premise work as required
