Welder III

POSITION TITLE: WELDER
POSITION SUMMARY
Following blue prints and drawings, fabricates parts and places in jigs for assembly and weld. May involve
Mig, Tig, and Stick welding.
EXPERIENCE
* Welding of aluminum, carbon and stainless steel
* Cutting torch
* Blue prints and drawings
* Tape measure
* Specialty Vehicle Manufacturing Environment
SKILLS
* Read and follow blueprints and work orders
* Understand welding equipment, settings and technique
* Proficient in Mig, Tig, and Stick welding of aluminum, carbon, and stainless steel
* Cleaning and preparation of unit
* Tape measure accuracy
* Safe usage of basic use of hand tools
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
* Squatting/bending/kneeling
* Standing for long periods
* Walk and move about - as required
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
* Safety glasses with side shields
* Steel Toe or approved safety toe shoes
* Welding helmet, goggles or other protective eye equipment
* Gloves
* Welding jacket or protective sleeves as required
* Housekeeping
* Other Department/Job specific Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Education
* High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
