Job Description

Allied Universal is hiring a Nuclear Security Lead. As a Nuclear Security Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and evaluating the conduct and performance of the security officers in his/her assigned unit or team. He or she is qualified to perform the duties of the Central Alarm Station (CAS) or Secondary Alarm Station (SAS) operator. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations and facility and company policies, procedures, and/or guidelines. This supervisory position performs post inspections, assigns work to employees, issues weapons and equipment, and handles employee issues and concerns. The Security Lead is required to maintain the physical fitness requirements and range qualifications for a site Armed Responder.

    Pay Rate: $33.45 / hour

  • Must be at least 21 years of age, with an active Driver's License

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide supervision and work direction for security officers
  • Perform the duties of a Central Alarm Station (CAS) or Secondary Alarm Station (SAS) operator
  • Supervise, observe, and evaluate the job performance of Security Officers
  • Conduct post inspections
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for Security Officers
  • Provide counseling and discipline for identified deficiencies in security officer performance
  • Assist with hiring, promotion, and termination processes, as appropriate
  • Issue weapons and equipment to security force members
  • Conduct performance reviews for Security Officers
  • Report any issues or concerns about the performance of security equipment or Security Officers to senior supervision or management
  • Implement proper compensatory measures in a timely manner
  • Conduct shift briefing, as required
  • Review paperwork generated during shift for accuracy and completeness and correct any discrepancies
  • Ensure that all inventories of security equipment are properly completed
  • Ensure that security equipment testing is properly performed
  • Fill in for a Security Supervisor SS, if certified
  • Maintain the physical fitness requirements and range qualifications for a site Armed Responder
  • Participate in security drills, practical exercises and required training programs as directed
  • Maintain periodic qualification of armed response, physical fitness, and weapon requirements
  • Maintain periodic qualification of academic requirements including (Radiation protection, Access authorization, Emergency plan, etc.)
  • Adhere to regulatory fatigue orders and work hours tracking requirements
  • Ensure house-keeping expectations are met
  • Maintain all required qualifications for site access

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to possess and maintain state required license(s) for armed assignment
  • Must be able to possess and maintain Armed Officer and Responder certification in accordance with regulatory requirements and site Training and Qualification plan
  • Must possess prior work experience as an armed Nuclear Security Officer and Armed Responder
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Active listening skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
  • Attention to detail
  • Be at least 21 years old
