Assistant Teaching Professor - Music Therapy College of Visual and Performing Arts University of Massachusetts Dartmouth The College of Visual and Performing Arts at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Music Therapy to lead the development of music therapy. The College seeks a music therapist and educator who is passionate and experienced with program development, community engagement, and interdisciplinary study. The ideal candidate has strong music skills, familiarity with accreditation and licensure, and a willingness to work with a variety of institutional stakeholders. The successful candidate will be expected to direct the development of a bachelor's degree in music therapy, recruit new students, as well as teach appropriate undergraduate and graduate offerings in related interdisciplinary programs (education, psychology, nursing, etc.). The appointed individual will be responsible for teaching a variety music therapy courses as well as at least one general music course aligned with the candidate's areas of expertise and experience. Alongside leading program development and teaching, this individual will advise students, contribute to curriculum development, serve on departmental and college committees, as well as perform other tasks as assigned to support the objectives of the Department. Applicants must be authorized for employment in the U.S. on a full-time basis. Employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.
