Job Summary: Responsible for maintenance and repairs of all Village buildings. The current opening is seasonal, and is temporary staffing support.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $20.54 - $26.71 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:
  • Perform all maintenance and preventative maintenance functions within the Village in an effort to meet and exceed established standards.
  • Work directly with the Chief Engineer and Supervisor to identify and accomplish all technical projects within the Village
  • Perform electrical, plumbing and carpentry projects
  • Assist in HVAC unit repair and maintenance projects Guest room preventative maintenance (caulking, tile repair, painting, plumbing, carpeting, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of fire protection and life safety systems
  • Perform, administer and document preventative maintenance
  • Overall building maintenance
  • Promote a safe working environment following OSHA guidelines
  • Willingness to respond to emergency situations on short notice

Required:
  • Effective communication skills, oral & written
  • Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness
  • Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards
  • Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time
  • Work well as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be self-motivated and results oriented


Education and Experience:

Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two years maintenance experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, hear, and smell. The employees will be frequently squatting, bending, reaching, and bending. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. Pushing or pulling up to 75lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee will frequently be working near operating machinery, heights, rough ground, extreme cold and heat.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually moderate. The employee may be exposed to the following hazards; mechanical, electrical, burns. The employee may occasionally encounter fumes, odors, dusts, gases.

Equipment Used in Job: Construction tool- hammers, saws, ladders, hand tools etc
