THE OPPORTUNITY:

Michelin has an immediate opening for an Area Maintenance Manager (Experienced) PR1 or equivalent experience in Greenville. This role is outstanding as it allows you to lead a dynamic team within a world-class company known for its outstanding standards in quality and innovation. Your leadership will ensure the availability and durability of equipment, optimizing maintenance costs and energy usage in a continuous improvement approach. This role supports a team rotating shifts 24/7, while you work normal business hours, Monday-Friday. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Provide leadership, support, and direction to empower 30-50 wage production operators to achieve their common objectives.
  • Work effectively with maintenance, quality, and other teams to meet daily/annual performance goals and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop employees through mentorship programs and work closely with your team members to improve their capabilities through effective performance management.
  • Monitor the short and long-term needs of the facility to ensure succession needs are met and employees are afforded opportunities for development and career growth.
  • Facilitate the identification and implementation of process and team improvements.
  • Coordinate with the supplier of forklift drivers to ensure smooth operations and support to your team.
  • Ensure the Risks Prevention Plan is applied, taking into account safety requirements for personnel and equipment.
  • Apply the maintenance strategy to equipment criticality.
  • Implement maintenance plans that include process influent parameters, contributing to the control of the process by applying and evolving maintenance plans.
  • Analyze maintenance results and make necessary improvements to continuously optimize interventions for greater efficiency over short and medium-term horizons (Week/Month).
  • Optimize maintenance costs by improving operational efficiency, energy, and spare parts consumption.
  • Apply the steps and tools of MMW and standards in orderliness and cleanliness.
  • Ensure the durability of equipment, particularly by addressing obsolescence cases.
  • Adapt resources in terms of proficiency and quantity, crafting training and succession plans.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
  • A willingness to work in an industrial plant environment (Monday-Friday on day shift) and support the 24 hours - 7 days operations as necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in achieving long-term goals and learning new skills.
  • Experience in guiding teams and project groups through setting goals, delegating tasks, giving feedback, leading by example, and promoting a positive work environment.
  • 3-5 years of successful employee performance management, including attendance, efficiency, skill development, and team management, is preferred.
  • The ability to interact professionally with internal partners, suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel data analysis. Microsoft Power BI is a plus.
