DESCRIPTION
Under direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and Medical Director, Administrative Assistant provides administrative support, clinical coordination and procedural scheduling services for the Cardiac Cath Lab. Coordinates Cardiac Cath Lab scheduling for General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Heart Failure, Pulmonary and Heart/Lung Transplant Services. Coordinates the logistics of multiple departments and areas of specialty (e.g. operating room, anesthesia, clinics, and admissions) to schedule time in the Cardiac Cath Lab Procedure Rooms. Enters patient information into UCSD computer systems. Responsible for insurance authorizations, billing verification, and coding of billing documents. Provides administrative support to departmental leadership, the Medical Director of Interventional Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Physicians, PAs and NPs. Serves as a key resource for patients, physicians, staff and manger. Functions as an expert for the department as a liaison between clinical/business operations and administrations. Communicate with faculty, clinic staff, administrators, professional organizations, outside agencies (e.g., Insurance Companies and Community Medical Groups) and referring physician practices. Provides administrative support for all Cardiac Cath Lab related projects. Interface with clinical staff and patients via phone and in person. Answer and triage incoming calls. Sort and prioritize incoming and outgoing mail. Maintains confidentiality. Maintains unit statistics. Maintains and monitors Referral Database. Coordinates, records and transcribes minutes for various meetings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,396 - $65,396 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $31.32 - $31.32 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). |
