Overview

The HR Operations Specialist is a critical role within the KM HR Operations team. The HR Operations Specialist delivers impactful service and program execution to employees & managers, driving increased employee satisfaction, engagement, and productivity. The HR Operations Specialist will regularly interact with employees and managers to ensure successful implementation of policies and programs. The Employee Services Specialist will enhance the operational excellence of the team by identifying opportunities for improvement, updating Standard Operating Procedures, and collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to standardize programs and processes.


Responsibilities

* Implements and administers human resources programs, policies and practices in a service center/shared services HR model.
* Maintains detailed knowledge of HR service areas and answers employee inquiries pertaining to HR programs, processes, procedures and communications.
* Responds to employee service needs such as document requests, employment form completion, onboarding assistance, HRIS data maintenance, benefits administration, payroll processing or other HR functions as assigned.
* Serves as an escalation point for shared services support, as needed.
* Proactively collaborates with Center of Excellence partners to identify work processes that can be streamlined and automated.
* Maintains accurate records related to human resources activities, policy changes or additions, standard operating procedures, .
* Manages the implementation and enhancement of HR operating policies, processes and procedures that affect the organization's short- and long-range goals and strategies
* Plans and coordinates special projects as assigned (e.g., 3-6 month implementation projects, acquisition integration, internal communications, committee participation)
* Is recognized as an expert in the Human Resources area within the organization. Has specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in Human Resources programs, policies, and procedures.
* Interprets internal or external issues within the context of KM policies, procedures and Standard Operation procedures and recommends solutions/best practices.
* Handles escalated employee or manager issues that involves solving complex problems by taking a broad perspective to identify solutions and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts.
* Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
* Progression to this level is typically restricted on the basis of business requirement


Qualifications

* Excellent communications skills (Verbal, Written)
* Konica Minolta Human Resources knowledge - policies, procedures, programs
* Position is in Ramsey, NJ
* 7+ Hours per day sitting, talking and hearing

* Associate's Degree with HR certification or other HR experience (Bachelor's degree preferred)
* 2+ Years customer facing experience
* 3+ years Experience defining and executing 3-6 month long projects with moderate complexity
* Preferred: HR knowledge certification from a nationally recognized organization (SHRM, HRCI, HCI, etc)

This position is on-site at Ramsey 4 days a week. Remote work available after initial training period on Fridays
