Duties and Responsibilities |
Responsible for maintaining the appearance of campus with landscaping duties, and maintain, and care for a variety of facilities on campus.To perform landscaping and trimming duties to maintain the appearance of the Water Tower Campus. Perform snow removal on sidewalks and parking lot. Continuous cleaning of all campus sidewalks, streets and parking lot. Moving of department personnel within the campus. Perform landscaping duties to maintain the appearance of the campus. Perform snow removal on campus and related properties, to ensure the safety of students, employees and visitors. Performs cleaning of parking lots, building entrances and grounds. Assists trades people in projects and cleanups. Move university equipment and furniture from one location to another. Remove trash from lawns and around building areas. Collect trash from outdoor receptacles and transport to collection point. Operate university vehicles and equipment, to include utility cart, riding lawn mower, snow blower and walk behind mowers. Will also be required to hand shovel snow from stairs, ramps and pedestrian walkways where powered equipment cannot be used.
Must be able to work extended work hours as necessary and be available 24hrs a day for call-in due to snow removal or other campus emergencies. Must have and maintain a working phone number for on-call contact. Physical Demands
Must be able to learn and practice safe handling of all equipment. Must be able to work in extreme weather, to include low and high temperatures. Must be able to move furniture and equipment and lift a minimum of 50 lbs. |
