We are seeking a Licensed Clinician specializing in Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) to join our compassionate team within the Therapeutic Horsemanship and Animal-Assisted Therapy program. For over 30 years, RIAD has offered services to children and adults with mental health, cognitive, and developmental challenges. Our agrarian setting and skilled instructors create an ideal environment for learning, growth, and healing.
Who You Are:
We are seeking a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who combines creativity, compassion, and clinical expertise to provide innovative therapy. This role blends traditional evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches with equine-assisted and animal-assisted interventions to foster therapeutic progress. You will thrive in non-traditional settings, is passionate about the human-animal connection, and brings intermediate to advanced horsemanship skills. What You'll Do:

As a Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist, you will:
* Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using EFP and AAT to achieve client goals.
* Collaborate with clients, families, and colleagues to create and implement effective treatment plans.
* Maintain confidential client records aligned with ethical and legal standards.
* Ensure the safety and welfare of animals and clients during sessions.
* Actively participate in team meetings, program development, and outreach initiatives.
Qualifications You Bring:
* Active licensure as an LICSW or LMHC.
* Expertise in trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic models.
* Experience incorporating equines and small farm animals in clinical practice.
* PATH Intl. Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning (ESMHL) certification or willingness to pursue it.
* Effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
* A deep understanding of how equines, small animals and the natural environment supports mental health and personal growth.
Shift:
This role offers a flexible part-time schedule, including one weekend day, in a supportive and innovative environment.

Pay Range: $65,000 - $71,000 per hour
