Summary of Job Duties:This position is located within the Walton College Executive Education, Strategic Engagement, and Thought Leadership Initiatives team. The Administrative and Program Specialist coordinates and executes administrative support for executive education, strategic engagement, and thought leadership teams. Tasks include, but are not limited to: program management, event coordination, budget management, office management, student team management, external stakeholder communications, and contributing to workflow and prioritization. The team is highly dynamic. The scope and nature of work changes frequently.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Experience in administrative support/management, stakeholder/customer relationship management, project/program support, or a similar field

  • Experience working in higher education, government, other public entity, or large complex organization

  • Experience in business development, customer relationship management, or similar functions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher education

  • Two or more years of administrative support/management, stakeholder/customer relationship management, project/program support, or a similar field

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Highly developed intuition, adaptability, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent customer relationship management skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail

  • Must be highly skilled and proficient with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

  • Ability to be resourceful and will attempt to solve problems with minimal direct supervision

  • Must be willing and able to contribute to team efforts that fall outside of normal duties

Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.

Salary Information:

$51,021 - $55,000 (commensurate with education and experience)
