Description

Position Summary & Responsibilities:

This is a remote position although the ideal candidate will reside in Durham, St Louis, or Salt Lake City. In this role, you will partner with a team of resources to deliver a Clinical Informatics solution to bioMerieux customers delivering Lab Insights built upon an Advanced Analytics Platform and Infrastructure. Build a collection of Analytics Products, including but not limited to automated and interactive visual dashboards and statistical analysis which will inform and empower different stakeholders to measure performance and make near real-time decisions based on the insights provided within. Build interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards).

  • Drive implementation projects to completion for bioMerieux Advanced Analytics, Torch/SPOTFIRE, and microbiology systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain user-friendly data visualizations and dashboards using complex datasets from different sources.
  • Research, design, and test machine-learning algorithms and programs.
  • Refine assets based on feedback, ensuring their continuity of accuracy and functionality.
  • Work under the guidance of the Clinical Antimicrobial Stewardship Team to advance the bioMerieux Clinical Informatics solution.
  • Enhance existing tools/offerings on an on-going basis to accommodate market and business needs.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or related technical field with 4+ years of experience in Data Visualization.
    • In lieu of a degree, a High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of experience in Health Informatics, Information Technology, or related field, with 4+ years of experience dedicated to Data Visualization also accepted
    • Experience with visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with visual analytic tools is desired
  • Experience with Tableau, SQL, and/or Python is a plus
  • bioMerieux product experience is a plus - Experience as a Lab/Medical Technologist or equivalent experience a plus.
  • Experience in the healthcare space is a plus
  • Experience in support of LIS interfaces, servers, software applications, hardware, middleware, and computers is a plus
