About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Accounting team as a Senior Accountant based in Shelton, CT. The Senior Accountant will support the company by providing timely and accurate financial information for internal and external use, maintaining and ascertaining the integrity of accounting records for the purpose of compiling and reconciling accounting and operational information for a multitude of countries, branches and entities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Prepare and post journal entries for month end close.
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations for multiple countries.
  • Identify discrepancies, research and resolve in a timely manner.
  • Prepare detail financial information for local authorities / accountants.
  • Ad-hoc assignments as needed.
  • Work with auditors to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in accounting.
  • 5 years related experience.
  • Experience with foreign currency a plus.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products with a strong emphasis in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Strong ability to communicate effectively - both verbal and written.
  • Follow through is a must.
