The Inside Sales Representative coordinates the activities of the selling teams, internal Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing and assigned (external) Customers to: mediate, and negotiate any item or activity such as price, delivery, quality, and responsiveness, that directly impacts the customer's business with TTM Technologies. This job requires timely and accurate responses to: requests for quotes, material planning, order entry, engineering holds, order changes, order status, requests for RMA's, and resolution of shipping and accounting issues. The position requires continuous improvement in cycle time for customer communications, in order to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Inside Sales I is responsible for customer communication for customers doing business with Chippewa Falls. As the focal point for the customer, they will interface with the appropriate internal departments at each facility, including but not limited to: Quoting, Front-End Engineering, Production Control, Purchasing, Quality and Accounting, in order to communicate all customer requirements and respond back to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Processing of Requests for Quote: Obtain request for quote and aligning data receipt from Customers. Input quote requests in ROQ quote platform and communicate needs to quote team. Respond to the customer with finalized and approved quotation, within the targeted lead time.
  • Order Entry: Existing Customer Orders: Upon receipt, check for raw material availability and initiate repeat quotation for order booking through ROQ. New orders: Validate new order quotation availability for booking, item setup and sales order creation through ROQ; request CRTrak address creation if needed. Enter Sales Order in Oracle and work with Production Control to meet requested lead times. Transmit Order Confirmation to Customer.
  • Consignment: Process Consignment Customer hub receipt and pull transactions in Oracle. Work with Consignment Customers to assure inventory is pulled and invoiced in contracted timeframe. Monitor shipments in transit for timely receipt to the Consignment Hubs.
  • Processing of Customer Change Requests: Enter changes as requested in Oracle for items including, but not limited to: expedites, push outs, cancels, and customer holds. Work with Production Control to meet Customer demands and forward Confirmation to Customer. For Cancels, enter data into Cancel Log and obtain approvals. Transmit charges to Customer and monitor for invoicing and payment. For data revision changes, enter SNR (Sales Notification Request) and forward to Front-End Engineering for implementation. Set up new item record as required, and modify Sales Order as appropriate.

Order Status:

  • Monitor assigned customer's order base for due dates and compare to status and progress of Production lots, and work with Production Control to obtain expedite status as appropriate
  • Communicate in timely manner to keep Customer informed. Work expedited ship methods as needed to meet committed Dock dates.
  • Processing of Returns and Loaded Board Assemblies:
  • Receive requests for returns; work with Quality Dept for appropriate approvals.
  • Setup Oracle RMA Return Order and assign RMA number Transmit RMA # to Customer.
  • If loaded Board Assembly, work with Quality Engineering to monitor failure analysis results, and set up RMA Assembly Credit Order for Accounting to issue credit if appropriate.

Accounts Receivable and Shipping Issues:

  • Work with Accounting and Buyers to resolve overdue payments when there are issues to resolve regarding unit price, quantity, EDI problems etc
  • Generates miscellaneous Credit and Debit Logs and obtains approval.
  • Work with Shipping Department to resolve any ship method, quantity, or damaged goods issues.

General Functions:

  • Is actively involved with the internal teams within the department to reduce cycle times and entry errors.
  • Participates with Account and Program Management in on-site customer review meetings, and may travel to customer's site on occasion.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of Chippewa Fall's Order Entry and Front End Systems, and manufacturing systems.
  • Processes other administrative functions related to Customer Satisfaction activities, including but not limited to: Purchase Order Verification, annual Customer Spec Reviews, and Customer Feedback Tracking.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge: Printed Circuit Board manufacturing knowledge, as well as knowledge the competitive market for PCB's. Must be knowledgeable in spreadsheet and word processing software, as well as use of the internet.
  • Skill in: Matching strategies and capabilities with customer demands well as ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram (print reading) or schedule form.
  • Ability to: Quickly solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where limited standardization exists. Ability to manage conflict situations with internal and external customers in order to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree preferred. High School or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year customer service or related work experience. Printed circuit board manufacturing and sales experience preferred.

Benefits are available 1st of the month following date of hire.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that my be hired in New York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
