Scope:

The EH&S Coordinator has the responsibility of maintaining facility compliance with EPA, OSHA and DOT requirements. Will supervise all waste treatment activities, enforce personal protective equipment usage and direct the overall plant safety program. May be exposed to hazardous materials while performing daily job duties. Will actively participate in ongoing hazardous material and chemical handling training.

Duties:

  • Stay current with all EPA, OSHA and DOT requirements for a manufacturing environment

  • Able to file required environmental reporting burdens in an accurate and timely manner

  • Participate in EH&S corporate conference calls as an effective member of the EH&S Team

  • The EH&S Coordinator spends time both as a trainer of multiple safety and operations topics, and as a liaison between the Training Coordinator, the Facilities Manager and Human Resources to maintain a safe and healthy workforce

  • Maintain chemical inventory levels as they relate to waste treatment operations and order products as needed

  • Enforce and support company hazardous materials and waste labeling requirements

  • Respond to chemical spills and support the emergency response team as needed

  • Determine requirements and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment as it relates to different manufacturing departments

  • Coordinate on-site disposal and off-site shipments of wastes and recyclable materials

  • Follow all safety measures when handling chemicals and hazardous waste with regard to use, mixing and disposing of these materials

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job

  • Be computer literate with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products

  • Able to communicator effectively in both printed and verbal formats

  • Able to work with process chemicals and perform laboratory analysis as required

  • Able to efficiently perform and monitor several related activities

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Familiar with OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations

Education and Experience:

  • Some college or equivalent work experience required

  • Basic Chemical or Associates Degree in Chemistry preferred

  • One year experience working in an environmental/safety role in a manufacturing environment preferred

  • Previous water or wastewater treatment experience preferred

Compensation and Benefits:

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$53,372 - $88,954

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
