Engineering Project Leader

Position Summary: We have a great opportunity for an engineering project leader to drive development of unique product solutions. The Engineering Project Leader will be responsible for overseeing cross-functional teams from our core functions of engineer, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, finance, sales & marketing; working to develop solutions aligned with Power Efficiency Solution multi-generational product plans. The Project Leader will be a key influencer of Regal's future products and work closely with our product management, engineering development, global supply and production teams. The role will report directly to the Program Manager for New Platform Development.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and track project or program plans including project scope, resources, schedules, budgets, product costs, product specifications & requirements.
  • Lead and collaborate with all stakeholders to develop, maintain, simplify and ensure compliance to Power Efficient Solutions North American project management processes leading to a successful product launch and post-launch.
  • Develop and manage the overall project work break down structure and integrated master schedule to deliver projects on-time in accordance with internal and external market requirements.
  • Lead and Support formal project reviewsand regular pulse updates with senior leadership.
  • Engage with internal and 3rd party testing laboratories to receive product certifications
  • Understand industry specific safety standards (UL, IEC, CSA), regulations (DOE, RoHS, DOE, MORE) and OSHA specifications
  • Drive continuous improvement of Regal Rexnord's project management practices, tools, and templates
  • Manage risks proactively and address and document issues clearly and quickly with escalation when needed
  • Ensure change management impacts are identified with appropriate actions in place for all projects
  • Drive Innovation with Purpose by aligning key product innovation and development to meet and exceed product management, business, and customer needs. (Innovation with purpose)
  • Develop critical path analyses for development projects and identify means to accelerate timelines, reduce costs, and/or mitigate risks.

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Operations, Marketing or equivalent degree or work experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in project leadership with strong interaction amongst cross-functional global teams
  • Experience managing high volume, technical projects and facilitating cross-functional, integrated product team activities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or similar project tracking software
  • Skilled in organizing, prioritizing and coordinating working relationships with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in the full life cycle of products from concept to production including commercializing new products through stage gate or toll gate process
  • Experience with high volume products
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Highly skilled with MS Office applications
  • Travel required: Up to 15% on an as needed basis
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (preferred)

Travel: Domestic and International travel is required for this position. (May be >10%)

Language: English. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
