JOB MISSION:

The Sr. Manager of NB Manufacturing Materials & Logistics Operations will be responsible for leading the staffing, employee development, process improvement, digital transformation, capital and capacity planning, budgeting, and financial activities necessary; to safely, accurately, and cost effectively manage materials operations that support the New Balance Manufacturing warehousing and transportation network. Scope of responsibility includes all manufacturing material warehousing, in-bound and out-bound activities, and inventory

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Direct management responsibility for multiple teams in multiple locations performing warehousing, inventory control and transportation functions. Provide direct reports with leadership, direction, and coaching to achieve goals and improve performance and skills
* Responsible for ensuring all warehouse and logistics activities adhere to legal and environmental guidelines and compliance to health and safety requirements
* Responsible for all Material Receiving, Staging, Movement to Production Operations, Packaging, Labeling, Loading, Order Fulfillment, Shipping, transportation, and delivery of materials within the NB Manufacturing materials network; and as required with the external supplier network
* Responsible for the automation and digital transformation of all materials management activities
* Responsible for raw material inventory accuracy: periodic cycle counts, and maintaining necessary system records and transactions required to receive, store, distribute and ship raw material
* Responsible for all planning and scheduling of tractors, trailers, drivers and transportation needs for New Balance Manufacturing
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal business operations and successful execution of corporate goals
* Create and maintain all department policies and procedures; offer strategic direction to teams to ensure alignment with corporate goals

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

* 10+ years of Supply Chain experience with emphasis in Warehousing, Inventory & Fleet Management
* 10+ years of management experience, including responsibility for front-line associates
* Experience implementing warehouse management automation and technology solutions
* Experience with warehouse design, layout, and material handling solutions
* Experience developing and managing budgets, contracts, and capital projects
* Experience leading structured process improvement projects

* Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
* Formal Continuous Improvement Education (Problem Solving, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) desired
* Strong systems skills; including ERP, WMS, and Microsoft Office suite
