Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Design or Product Design and 5 years of experience of experience in utilizing the Design Thinking process methodology to conceptualize the physical design of home appliance products.
  • Must have experience in: Leading the design specifications for a range of home appliance products in collaboration with Design Manager as part of the multifunctional team.
  • Managing multiple projects for a specific brand/project line. Creating and managing documentation of Industrial Design specifications utilizing 2D and 3D software such as, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Rhinoceros, Keyshot and AI generated tools that explore manufacturability potential or articulate an innovative proposition.
  • Use sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, animation and video skills to define and communicate food preparation and preservation product concepts.
  • Developing instructional documentation, product packaging, appliance design, and product accessories to enhance the user experience.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for creating new and innovative design solutions for the Major Home Appliances NA division.
  • Manage multiple projects of work from initial concept all the way through to final production.
  • Balance the relationship between product properties, design elements, business goals, marketing directions, consumer trends, technology, and environmental issues.
  • Analyze market and design trends and apply through design thinking.
  • Utilize understanding of consumer segmentation and target groups to incorporate design quality thinking in regard to appeal, usability, and Fit Feel Finish from the consumer perspective.
  • Utilize the Design Thinking process methodology to conceptualize the physical design of the home appliance products.
  • Use sketching, 3D modeling, rendering, animation, and video skills to define and communicate food preparation and preservation product concepts.
  • Create effective visual design languages by understanding the meaning and effect of these on the brand, audience, market, and culture.
  • Create and manage documentation of Industrial Design specifications utilizing 2D and 3D software such as, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Rhinoceros, Keyshot and AI generated tools that explore manufacturability potential or articulate an innovative proposition.
  • Ensure ahigh-quality Design output, respecting business requirements, brand values and design excellence.
  • Apply design research methods to the design thinking process.
  • Define and articulate relevant insights by applying benchmarking tools.
  • Manage multiple projects, typically for a specific brand/product line.
  • Lead the design specifications for a range of home appliance products in collaboration with Design Manager as part of the multifunctional team.
  • Apply and define interface and interaction principles.
  • Define and apply general usability principles (in partnership with other competencies e.g. Interaction Design, Product Graphics, etc.).
  • Create functional product concepts that appropriately address the user-context requirements.
  • Develop instructional documentation, product packaging, appliance design, and product accessories to enhance the user experience.
  • Coach North America Design team on using the Electrolux sustainable tool (CIRCLE) to measure the circularity level of the project from the design perspective.
  • Coach Latin America Design team on using the Electrolux design process and Electrolux ATI (Approach to innovation).
