Product Development Engineer

The primary responsibility of this position is lead invididual product development project to support the growth any segement within Distribution hardware, Pipeline connectors and standard product line.

LOCATION

* Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.

ESSENTIAL

* Achieve development project requirements including timelines, cost, quality, design-for-manufacturing, design-for-sourcing, and other objectives.

* Design, test and evaluate concept designs using engineering principles and techniques.

* Own the projects assigned and provide guidance to less experienced engineer as needed.

* Write and/or review technical proposals, equipment evaluations and sourcing.

* Interface with customers and other project managers (both internal & external) and provide engineering status and progress reports.

* Prepare technical procedures (i.e. factory acceptance test, Qualification testing procedures, etc.) and technical specifications (Functional Design spec, FMECA, datasheet etc.).

* Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, applicable standards (ISO, API and ANSI), contract requirements and related specifications.

* Ensure all designs are of compatible materials and components taking into consideration manufacturing requirements.

* Perform design reviews and presentations with internal and external customers.

* Work well within a team and individually.

ADDITIONAL

* The position could be a senior level based on individual's qualifications and working experiences.

REQUIRED

* Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Subsea Engineering (or related engineering discipline).
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications.
* Minimum of 3 years' working knowledge of SolidWorks or AutoCAD and Enovia or similar Product Life Management (PLM) system.
* Minimum of 5 years' experience applying Engineering Fundamentals, including structures, hydraulics and pressure vessels.
* Minimum 2 years' experience with product development life cycle.
* Minimum of 5 years' experiences in subsea engineering related. (Subsea systems, subsea tooling or Subsea intervention).

DESIRED

* Experiences with FEED study and ability to create the Engineering concept.

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
