Responsibilities

The Treasury Management & Municipal Banking Support Specialist supports the daily municipal banking and treasury management needs of the commercial, small business, retail, treasury management and municipal customers. Provides superior customer service, support and customer resolution for all municipal and cash management client needs. Handles operations within the Treasury Management Solutions and Municipal Banking Department and acts as an operational liaison between the department and the Bank's other operational areas. Recommends effective strategies and identifies cross selling opportunities to existing clients. Performs some daily municipal and treasury management operational tasks for the client. Works with other members of treasury management solutions, municipal banking, commercial and business banking, small business and branch staff to provide quality customer service to ensure banking needs are met and relationships are being developed and solidified, thus providing the customer with a great overall experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides a superior level of customer service for all types of treasury management and municipal needs consisting including, but not limited to business sweep, ACH origination, electronic wires, internet banking, account transfers, merchant services, lockbox, municipal loans and other services. Works very closely with Commercial Support Services (CSS) on all aspects relating to treasury management services for CBNA customers.
  • Works directly with sales officers on municipal initiatives, including RFP and basic proposals, client database management, rate quotes, research, client servicing calls. Interfaces directly with CBNA's municipal clients and industry associations.
  • Prepares all necessary agreements/forms associated with a new set up for treasury management solutions and municipal banking. Obtains agreements, reviews and submits or implements new services in accordance with department protocols and processes.
  • Contributes to a successful and seamless implementation/onboarding of CBNA treasury management solutions and municipal customers. Works closely with Deposit Operations as needed. Gains an in-depth understanding of the Account Analysis (AA) system and Chart of Accounts.
  • Responsible for assisting SVP/Managing Director - Treasury Management Solutions and Municipal Banking with special projects as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and prescribed policies/practices/procedures necessary to reduce risk and uphold ethical standards related to and required by one's duties. Will contribute to fulfilling requests during the annual internal audit and assist in developing/refining processes and procedures used within the department.
  • Maintain proficient knowledge of, and demonstrate ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensure ongoing adherence to policies, procedures, and internal controls, and meet all training requirements in a timely manner

Ancillary Duties:

As an integral member of the Municipal Banking Division this position is also responsible to provide assistance wherever necessary to help the Division and the Bank in achieving its goals and objectives.


Qualifications

Education, Training and Requirements:

  • BA degree in business administration preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Knowledge of various business software a plus

Experience:

  • 3+ years customer service
  • Treasury Management and/or Municipal experience preferred
  • Banking knowledge and experience a plus
