Essential Job Duties:

  • Create and maintain a safety-first culture by ensuring the safety and productivity of all associates assigned to the designated shift.
  • Maintain food safe environment by enforcing all safety, processing and packaging procedures
  • Partner with Supervisor to investigate and report all incidents including but not limited to spills, hazards, accidents, unsatisfactory performance, policy violations etc.
  • Direct and lead line operation to ensure production goals are achieved.
  • Hold daily communications meeting with crew.
  • Assign line workers to their position on the line and provide instruction as required. Ensure team and individuals are performing their job functions efficiently and effectively. Rotate line workers into different positions as needed to maintain job skills.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, foreign material events, and safety events. Coordinate with maintenance and involve production supervisor as needed to resolve issues.
  • Coordinate with other line leads on same shift and handoffs between leads on other shifts
  • Support DDS Gemba walks and OPEX initiatives
  • Perform supervisor duties on a as needed basis
  • Enter safety, quality, and maintenance notifications
  • Assist in training new associates and coach existing associates.
  • Perform production start-up and continuous monitoring of the line operation.
  • Complete daily reporting, report schedule attainment, and enter downtimes
  • Ability to work overtime as required.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
