Jefferson Bucks Hospital in Langhorne PA is now hiring for an Associate Chief Nurse Officer (ACNO). This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing campus, market, and community. Reporting directly to the North Region CNO, this role defines, plans, implements, and monitors patient care delivery, fiscal management, human resource management and departmental operations for this 125 licensed bed hospital (includes ED). This individual will take a leadership role in developing policy and standards for patient care services and operational goal attainment for Jefferson Bucks Hospital.

Job Description

Essential functions for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and oversee the personnel management of all nursing units/departments. Manage through teams of Directors and Managers. Has authority to determine proper resource allocation within span of control. Typically serves as senior executive nurse of a specific hospital or leads a significant portion of an inpatient nursing region.
  • Ensure the ongoing education, development and mentoring of nurse leaders within their purview
  • Maintain effective relationships, communication and collaborations with other department directors and with hospital operations leadership to ensure daily operations and long range patient care strategies within Jefferson Health consistently meet all regulatory and patient care standards. Viewed as a key member of regional leadership team.
  • Coordinate and oversee the operational and capital budgets of all inpatient units within span of control.
