Job Description


Essential Functions:

* Reads blueprints/orders and builds custom electronic assemblies according to the specifications required

* Effectively uses computer and Information Center to retrieve product/process information

* Uses pneumatic & hand tools and soldering equipment in a safe and effective manner

* Visually inspects material during the assembly process to prevent defects and scrap

* Responsible for quality of assembled product prior to and including their workstation

* Responsible for packaging and shipment of product to customer

* Communicates with Buyer/Senior Buyer what parts are needed (stealth and head array parts, etc.)

* Provides written suggestions for continuous improvement

* Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary

* Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S principles.

* Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.

* Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

Qualifications:

* High School graduate or equivalent

* Prior electronic control / wire harness assembly experience working knowledge of electronics preferred

* Demonstrated ability to recognize and produce acceptable wire/terminal connections

* Basic math and computer skills

* Detail-oriented

* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for long periods of time required

* Ability to bend, twist and/or squat as required

* Ability to operate hand tools, including air and other torque-controlled tools (e.g. air guns, drills, etc.)

* Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed

* Demonstrated ability to understand and follow work instructions

* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision

* Ability to work overtime with little or no notice

* Ability to be cross-trained

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection

* Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills

* Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job
