Neuro Tech, per diem, evening shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform professional and technical duties involved in neurodiagnostic procedures including EEGs, EMGs, and visual, auditory, and somatosensory evoked potentials utilizing specialized equipment.
EDUCATION:
High School diploma or equivalent. Neurological technical training and completion of didactic courses in electroencephalography and evoked potential.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of one year experience in evoked potential recordings preferred. 3-5 years experience as a staff EEG Technologist preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
CPR certification. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and be able to adapt to the changing and varied situations. Must be able to perform work accurately with attention to detail within specified time periods, handle frequent interruptions, and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule. Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team, staff, and co-workers. Ability to set priorities, solve problems, and respond quickly to emergency requests. Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) and assist in meeting the patient care needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
