Role Description Stanford Medicine Children's Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our Pediatric Liver Transplant Program. This role is integral to our multidisciplinary provider team, actively participating in the management and clinical decision-making for all pediatric liver transplant patients. The APP operates within their full scope of practice, including ordering and prescribing medical interventions/devices, and performing procedures per medical staff privileging. Working closely with Hepatology and Liver Transplant Surgeons, the APP collaboratively manages patients within this unique and specialized population, ensuring comprehensive and personalized care. Specific unit responsibilities of the Advanced Practice provider include: Managing outpatient liver pre- and post-transplant patients, overseeing monitoring, medication management, patient education, care coordination, and addressing complications as they arise. Serve as a primary provider for inpatient pediatric liver and intestinal transplant patients, participating in rounding, note-writing, and clinical decision-making with Hepatologist and Transplant Surgeon. Function as an APP in first or second assistant role in the operating room during pediatric transplant surgeries, including liver, intestine, combined organ, multivisceral transplants, and liver resections. Service line support for weekday and weekend shifts to ensure continuous 7-day service coverage. This may include weekend, and after-hours support for donor call and urgent transplant surgery cases. Prior experience in Pediatrics care and or/ transplant medicine is preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively within a multi disciplinary team and independently manage patient care decisions. The Nurse Practitioner provides routine care and management of the patient with acute and chronic complaints, in collaboration with the supervising physician and through implementation of standardized procedures. Specific functions pertaining to the Service, Clinic or Department are established by the Nurse Practitioner and the supervising physician(s), and approved by the appropriate medical and nursing administrators, the IDPC, and the Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC) Medical Executive Board and Board of Directors. Physician Assistant (PA): The Physician Assistant functions under the general Physician Assistant Role Description approved by the Interdisciplinary Practice Committee (IDPC). Specific functions pertaining to the Service, Clinic or Department are established by the Physician Assistant and his or her supervising physician(s), and approved by the appropriate medical and nursing administrators, the IDPC, and the Stanford Hospital and Clinics (SHC) Medical Board and Board of Directors. Note: New graduate NPs will be allotted six (6) months from their graduation date to obtain national board certification.

Salary within our ranges may also be determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, and abilities, as required by the role, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
