DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Staff Physician 2, you will render professional medical care and treatment of the family practice type to the patients assigned. Within this role, you will provide backup coverage for other physicians and be responsible for the medical supervision of assigned buildings and work in conjunction with other physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, and other professional personnel. This professional performs physical examinations, ward rounds, and sick calls, as well as makes decisions regarding patients who need to be admitted to an outside hospital. You will also perform medical consultative services and provide medical and surgical pre and post-operative care. You will be responsible for providing preventive health care services to patients as appropriate, based upon their age and gender, and following any chronic conditions. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based upon operational needs.
- Overtime and travel as needed.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Three years of experience and/or training in the practice of medicine.
Special Requirements:
- You must possess a license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as issued by the State Medicine Board, or the State Osteopathic Medicine Board.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
- You must pass a background investigation.
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
- Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
