Central Service Technician| FT| Evening

Overview

Job Summary:

Must have the physical ability and mental capability to perform all daily activities of the Central Services department, which includes but is not limited to medical/surgical supply and patient equipment inventory control, distribution, and decontamination. Responsible for replenishing specialty carts used for direct patient care, i.e. Code Blue, Broslow, and Neonatal carts. Tracks patient equipment electronically for control and management reporting and ensures quality assurance preventive maintenance is maintained for patient safety. Acts and properly dresses to ensure all safety precautions related to avoiding infectious materials are accomplished for personal and patient protection.

Job Requirements:

High School diploma required with the ability to pass a written exam for basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and general problem solving skills.

Must have a minimum of one (1) year in a position providing customer service. Prefer a candidate with a minimum of one (1) year of warehouse and distribution background and general awareness of infection control principles.
