Senior Reporting and Analytics Analyst

The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) invites applications for a Senior Reporting and Analytics Analyst position. A successful applicant will engage in applied health services and population health research in a project-based, team setting. The successful candidate will focus primarily on (1) survey design, instrumentation, and administration; (2) analysis and reporting of weighted survey data; and (3) other quantitative analytic work, including data cleaning and processing. This individual may also support the qualitative research component of mixed-methods projects.

Senior Reporting and Analytics Analysts are expected to perform mainly technical skill tasks, but in somecases,they may also contribute toprojectleadershipand administration. They are expected to complete work independently on tasks with moderate complexity while assisting or completing advanced complexity tasks with appropriate assistance and oversight. Senior Research Analytics Analysts typically work on multiple projects at a time and have significant project responsibilities.

Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following: assists with quantitative data collection by designing survey questionnaires and research protocols; tests survey instruments and runs data checks on collected data; conducts analysis of weighted survey data and composes reports and presentation materials; cleans, processes, and recodes data for use in dashboard development and other analytic work; assists with research documentation, such as the creation of methodology reports and survey crosswalks; presents results to project sponsors and other audiences; conducts literature searches and literature reviews; assists as a liaison to project partners and sponsors; and assists with the development of protocols and the composition of institutional review board (IRB) applications.

Minimum Education Required:

Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.

Additional Education Required:

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, 2 years of relevant experience with a masters degree, or a PhD in a relevant field of study is required. Experience with quantitative analysis and demonstrated usage of R for data analysis and statistical programming are required. Requires successful completion of a background check. The selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen. Candidates selected for an interview may be asked to provide a writing sample and a code sample.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

An advanced degree in a relevant field of study is preferred. Experience with complex survey design and analysis is preferred. Experience with qualitative data collection and/or analysis, such as semi-structured interviews, focus groups, or document analysis, is preferred.
