RENTAL ACCOUNT MANAGER

Summary: Creates and maintains customer base for the rental of Motorola two-way radios, Iridium satellite phones, and other wireless communication equipment in a designated territory by performing the following duties.

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from various media sources.

• Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders.

• Talks with customers on sales floor or by phone to solicit orders.

• Analyzes customer's communication needs and recommends equipment needed.

• Displays or demonstrates products using samples and emphasizes salable features.

• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.

• Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's productions and delivery schedules.

• Provides equipment training and support to new customers.

• Prepares reports business transaction reports and maintains expense accounts.

• Enters new customer and sales data into database.

• Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.

• Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.

• Attends and participates in industry trade shows.

• Manages rental equipment inventory.

• Determines appropriate programming necessary to meet customer needs including channel plan, location.

• Delivers equipment to customers.

• Installs Repeaters, Antennas, and cables on rooftops.

• Collects payment from customers.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
