Description THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE. Will be guaranteed 20 hours/week regardless. This project will go to the end of March, but could be extended past that and could get more hours as they have many upcoming projects, but not guaranteed. Candidates can have another job/be flexible when they work as long as the work gets done. This coder will join a large digital healthcare company that is building out a new Revenue Cycle Team with a ton of new initiatives coming out this year. The team will rely on this coder to verify correct CPC codes are being used for patients in the Medicare community for the new telehealth annual visits that the team is expanding into. There will be some potential lab coding they will be exposed to as well. - Review, audit, and code provider's documentation for the purpose of reimbursement - Directly involved in analyzing annual telehealth visit pre-bill claim edits, claim denials, Accounts receivable (AR) management, and compliance using ICD-10 and CPT codes. - Works alongside the Revenue Cycle Manager, to review and amend denied claims to ensure accurate coding and adherence to payor policy requirements. - CPT - bars from billing - TeleHealth - evaluation and management codes, gathering codes - Utilize Athena EMR Qualifications - Must have coding background, specifically telehealth annual wellness visit coding for Medicare - Coding certification and 2+ years of experience in medical billing & coding - Telehealth 9,000 range - Experience verifying codes - Annual wellness visit coding and evaluation and management (E&M) professional office visit coding required - E&M 9,000 range - coding range - CPC Fully remote Schedule: Very flexible schedule This role will start with 2 weeks of full time training, with about 1 week getting caught up to speed on how they utilize Athena for their processes, and the second week on how they will need to operate in this telehealth space. The role will start off slower with potentially only 10 charts daily, and will ramp as they continue to see more patients and take on more programs. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
