Mercy Ft Smith - $162 million expansion of its ER and ICU. ER will expand from 29 to 50 rooms and ICU will increase from 38-64 rooms. The ER expansion alone will allow for about 25,000 more patient visits per year. This expansion will allow us to better meet the needs of our community in a world-class environment.

Overview:

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

  • Experience: Open to both new graduates and experienced nurses.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
