Polysomnography Technologist

Job Description
The Sleep Laboratory encompasses all technical functions within the Sleep Disorders Center. The laboratory is the diagnostic area of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. It evaluates all patients suspected of having sleep disorders. It is located at University Hospitals East. The laboratory is staffed 24 hours per day, Sunday through Saturday.

Position Summary
Under the medical direction of a physician, Polysomnographic Technologist prepares patients for both all night polysomnographic recordings and multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests.

Minimum Education Required
HS Graduate or Equivalent

Required Qualifications
Credentialed in Sleep through the BRPT, AASM, or RRT programs. Certification must be obtained within 18 months of hire.

Associates degree in accredited educational training program preferred.
