Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Coordinator, Procurement-Supply Chain Management

In this role, you will be responsible for the confirmation of receipt of goods for the top suppliers on our open order reporting and providing basic to moderate project support and other related administrative duties for Procurement Operations. Demonstrate good critical thinking and exercise judgment to resolve issues independently and recognize when issues need to be escalated. Carry out administrative duties maintaining records and other related project activities. Work under general direction of Procurement Operations Manager.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operations Support Lead and oversee the timely completion of open purchase orders, working proactively with suppliers to resolve any delays. Independently manage invoice discrepancies, collaborating directly with requesters, suppliers, and administrative teams to ensure swift and effective resolutions. Proactively drives continuous improvement in the procurement process by analyzing the open order data to identify bottlenecks through root cause analysis. Implements solutions to RCA findings that improves order fulfillment accuracy through increased supplier compliance.
  • Project Support Provide basic to moderate coordination for assigned activities to a manager or director, head of department that includes but not limited to coordination of project while working; communicating with internal and external parties to organize and coordinate various aspects needed to initiate, run and conclude responsibilities.
  • Data Driven Reporting and Analysis Conduct comprehensive open order data collection from various supplier shipping reports, including GHX and PeopleSoft, and conducts analysis to develop insights that support decision-making approach related to order fulfillment, process improvement and supplier compliance. Independently prepares, reviews, and interprets reports related to project management, providing leadership with strategic process improvement and/or supplier compliance recommendations based on findings. Handle complex queriesand correspondence, escalating only non-routine items as necessary.
  • Customer Service Optimization Deliver exceptional customer service, addressing product inquiries and challenges with a strategic mindset and sense of urgency. Analyze and propose improvements for customer experience, through PeopleSoft enhancement recommendations to expand real time information sharing with customers and increase efficiency and productivity across the team through proactive problem-solving.
  • Other Duties as Assigned Engage in additional projects and perform other duties as required to drive team and organizational success.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required. 0-1+ years experience in Purchasing/Procurement roles or similar functions. Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ability to learn and become proficient in ERP system. Ability to interface with external and internal customers, including all levels of management, through effective oral and written communication and great interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and with a team. Prioritization, organization, time management, and ability to work well under pressure. Ability to multi-task while paying attention to details.

Previous healthcare experience

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $62,400.00 - $85,407.34 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
