JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* CMS Technician will be required to perform the set up and operation of the Metronor system, the Romer system, and any other coordinate measuring systems utilized by the company.
* All CMS systems function in a 3D (3 Dimensional) environment.
* The CMS Technician must be able to function in, relate to, and understand 3D coordinate systems and information.
* Utilize CMS equipment to perform inspection on forgings and machined parts, forging dies, die casts, templates, fixtures, tools, first article inspections, discrepant parts, and suspect product with or without specific work instructions, applying layout features for machining to ensure that vendor, customer, and blueprint specifications and tolerance, or other specified requirements, are met and maintained.
* CMS equipment / systems are computer controlled and operated, utilizing various software packages.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Must be a US Citizen with a Valid Passport/Birth Certificate
* Proficient shop mathematics including advanced geometry and trigonometry.
* The ability to interpret process sheets, forging drawings, machine drawings, customer drawings, and complex geometric constructions.
* Proficient computer skills using additional software such as Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), writing formulas, macros, and preparing presentations.
* Must have outstanding initiative and judgment, and the ability to work on basic to highly advanced inspections, layouts, and measurements.
* Must be capable of 3D visualization, establishing and referencing 3D coordinates and axis systems and applying CMS systems within this 3D framework.
* Intense concentration is required to ensure proper CMS system setups, proper use of tolerances, material offsets, and allowances, so that resultant measurements and reported outputs are accurate and reliable.
* Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
* Must be able to lift 35lbs. when needed
* Constantly stand and walk throughout the workday
* It is required to stand, walk & reach with hands & arms
* Good coordination to operate several controls simultaneously
* Heavy visual concentration required to reach precision measuring instruments and to observe cutting operations
* Frequent use of physical skills to operate a wide variety of machines & tools working to close tolerances
* Has use of electric cranes & hoists for lifting & moving forgings
* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
* Frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel material
* Constant use hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel, or handle and manipulate parts and tools
* Frequent repetitive motions
* Constant requirement of specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
* Constantly wear eye protection (Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required)

* Must be able to work 8 to 10 hours shifts and overtime as scheduled
* Must have completed 90-day introductory period
* Must have been in current position for a minimum of six (6) months
* Must be able to pass necessary assessments
