Job Title: Cloud Kubernetes Engineer

Location: Waukegan Road, IL (Hybrid)

Duration: 12 months

Description:


Looking for a highly motivated Cloud Kubernetes Engineer that will be responsible for the engineering, implementation, and support of cloud services, supporting scientific and R&D related activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AWS, Docker and Kubernetes/EKS along with multiple automation/devops toolsets and practices. This candidate should have the experience and ability to provide consultation and support cloud solutions with a focus on best practices and security. This role will be expected to investigate and engineer new technologies focused on containerization and automation to enhance and secure cloud platforms while fostering agility to the business.

Key Responsibilities include:



  • IAM user security - Ensure secure IAM user access with policies, MFA, and key rotation.
  • Experience with automation of IAM workflows, including policy generation, key rotation, and access reviews using tools like Python, Lambda and etc
  • Development and ongoing support of CloudFormation and other various templates.
  • Support for application and AWS services identity.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support the engineering, implementation, and migration of existing cloud applications or solutions.
  • Adheres to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional policies.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science (or other related field) and 3 years related experience,
  • Strong experience with IAM (users, roles, Identity Center, Control Tower) and permissions associated with various AWS services (ie: ec2, s3, etc).
  • Experienced with Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform.
  • Strong experience with S3.
  • On premise and Cloud data transfer experience a plus
  • Linux OS administration experience (Windows a plus).
  • Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
  • Recent work experience health care/life science organization is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
