Job Title: Asset Administrator I

SUMMARY
Assist in the daily and long-term management of Desktop and Laptop hardware and software assets within the organization. Support the development and implementation of procedures for tracking company IT assets to ensure quality control and efficient management throughout their lifecycles.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following:



  • Assist in the formulation and implementation of processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of company software, hardware, and equipment from acquisition to retirement.
  • Help create and enhance reports for asset and software management for laptops, desktops, printers, and other IT assets.
  • Process invoices and create purchase orders (POs) for asset-related purchases and assist in reconciling billing information to support the asset management function.
  • Coordinate the tagging and tracking of IT fixed assets, including desktops, laptops, and printers.
  • Support the development of business requirements and objectives for asset data management.
  • Assist in coordinating the flow of data throughout the asset lifecycle to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Support audit and reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity across asset records.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing standards and asset management guidelines.
  • Provide support for routine asset management activities and assist in resolving asset-related inquiries from internal teams.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY
No Supervisory/Management Authority.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, asset tracking, customer service, or a related area.
  • Experience in asset management, invoicing, contract review, or mobile device administration is preferred.
  • Experience in shipping and receiving or warehousing is a plus.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES



  • Familiarity with IT assets such as workstations, laptops, printers, and servers.
  • Basic understanding of asset tracking software and tools for maintaining asset information.
  • Ability to assist with creating and following internal policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members and other departments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
