Researcher 1 - Masonic Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism Are you passionate about cutting-edge aging research and eager to work hands-on with groundbreaking science? Join the Masonic Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism (MiBAM) in our Mouse Core, where you'll play a key role in advancing discoveries that could transform human health! In this dynamic position, you'll be at the heart of our research, managing and maintaining our mouse colony, ensuring smooth operations through our mouse cloud database, and handling everything from specimen labeling and biological sample archiving to tracking healthspan data. You'll also dive into molecular biology techniques like immunoblotting and qRT-PCR, conduct animal necropsies and tissue preservation, and even coordinate the shipment of critical biological samples. This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge aging science, collaborate with passionate researchers, and continuously expand your knowledge in a field that's shaping the future of medicine. About the Department
Masonic Institute on the Biology of Aging and Metabolism MiBAM is part of the growing Geroscience movement that aims to attack the numerous debilitating diseases associated with old age through slowing or reversing the aging process itself. MiBAM faculty study aging biology with the goal of developing drugs to target those processes. Our goal is to extend the period of time that we remain healthy, independent, and able to enjoy a high quality of life! Pay and Benefits
