Job Summary:
The Sexual Wellness Services Coordinator is responsible for planning and administering all activities related to Sexual Wellness services to comply with regulatory agencies for addressing patient sexual concerns related to cancer diagnosis and treatment as part of cancer and survivorship care. This role promotes the integration of sexual health expertise into the cancer care treatment team and develops opportunities to expand sexual wellness services into other areas of cancer care and local community services. The coordinator is responsible for assessing patients' sexual health needs and advancing expertise in this field to support both patients and caregivers, ensuring a quality sexual wellness program and services.
Minimum Education and Certification:
Licensed therapist, social worker, or RN in the state of Illinois; additional compact nursing license in another state (e.g., WI, IN) preferred
Certification as a Sexual Health Educator, Counselor, or Therapist from a recognized program
Membership in AASECT (American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists), SSTAR (Society for Sex Therapy and Research), IBOSP (International Board of Sexuality Professionals), or an equivalent recognized sexual health organization
Preferred Experience:
3-5 years of experience in oncology
Previous care management experience
Experience in the specialized area of sexual health
