Carbone Restaurant is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our Food & Beverage team as Bus Person! As a Bus Person, your primary responsibility will be to uphold the highest cleanliness and organizational standards throughout the restaurant. This includes maintaining the dining room, storerooms, food pick-up areas, and beverage stations, ensuring they are consistently clean, well-stocked, and ready for service.
THE STARTING PAY: $14.2745 THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Work with servers to ensure proper guest service Polish flatware, set up tables with appropriate silverware, glassware, linen, condiments, and accessories, fold napkins properly and ensure ashtrays are clean and available on tables in designated smoking areas Clear, clean, and sanitize booth/chair cushions and tables completely, and reset with clean linens, ashtrays, votive candles, glassware, and any additional tabletop items needed Remove dirty dishes, debris, and linens from table and bring to the kitchen for proper washing and disposing of trash in designated receptacles Coordinate table availability and constantly communicates with Server, Hostess, and Management to ensure tables are turned efficiently Serve water, coffee, and soft drinks, refilling when needed Ensure that dining room floors are clean and free of debris
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
At least one year experience as a Bus Person or Food Runner in a fine dining, high-volume establishment Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness and organization Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain composed under pressure Experience working in a similar resort setting Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
