Operations Management Intern - Services will gain hands-on experience in various aspects of business management by assisting with administrative tasks, project coordination, team communication, and operational functions, while learning about leadership and organizational dynamics within Cubic Transportation Systems specifically supporting Service Operations Programs - West. This includes but is not limited to Chicago, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver

12-week summer experience

Remote position. *US-based students will be considered.

The intern will be expected to perform the following:

Project Assistance:

Supporting project managers by tracking progress, gathering data, coordinating tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Team Collaboration:

Facilitating communication between team members, assisting with team building activities, and contributing to brainstorming sessions

Data Analysis:

Collecting and analyzing data to identify trends, generate reports, and inform decision-making.

Leadership Development:

Observing and learning from senior management, participating in leadership training programs, and taking on small leadership responsibilities when appropriate.

Departmental Exposure:

Rotating across different departments within the company to gain a comprehensive understanding of business functions like sales, marketing, finance, and human resources.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program with a focus on business administration, management, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Cubic Pay Range:

$20-28/hr.* + benefits.

*Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
