Food Protection Scientist I

Danisco USA Inc. seeks Food Protection Scientist I in New Century, KS, to conduct analytical testing and oxidative stability studies for internal and external requests. Requirements: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemistry or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing experience with oxidation/antioxidant chemistry, including the Autoxidation Cycle and its influencing factors and testing methodologies; utilizing High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses of natamycin, organic acids, sugars, and catechins; performing data processing involving peak identification, integration, and quantification using calibration curves; and managing chemical inventory using an inventory management system including disposing of the hazardous waste following the regulations in coordination with the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) leader.
