We are seeking a highly motivated and proven Area Vice President of Marketing Strategy who will focus on building a customer driven organization and driving access to Empath Health's hospice and palliative care programs. Job Summary As the Area Vice President of Marketing Strategy, there will be a strong focused on collaborating with the senior team members to continue efforts at building a customer driven organization and is responsible for driving access in the hospice and palliative care division with each of its customer segments consistent with the values of the organization. This role will also focus on improving operational efficiencies and setting clear strategic market goals. Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve budgeted overall volume and mix of business goals across Hospice and Palliative Care
- Assure appropriate area sales infrastructure and appropriate coordination of efforts
- Develop inclusive strategic plans and strategies by collaborating with the executive leadership team, board and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with the COO and CAO to develop a market plan in line with the organization's strategic plan.
- Analyzing market dynamics, market share changes, service line performance, and competitive intelligence.
- .Identifying key strategic partnership opportunities and relationships.
- Oversee the development of strategic initiatives and work with leaders to improve operational standards
- Collaborating with leadership, special committees, and consultants to execute strategies.
- Set clear and achievable goals and coach colleagues around professional growth and development
- Ensure defined metrics are in place to measure performance and progress.
- Monitor execution of area business initiatives.
- Optimize critical key account referral source relationships (qualitative and quantitative) e.g., key hospitals, medical groups, LTCs, ALFs, local/state- wide groups.
- Obtain objective results with Medicare Advantage plans, commercial managed care plans, Medicaid managed care and key risk-taking or insurer owned physician groups, appreciating the overlap with the above referral source physician practices.
- Gather and provide insight into Empath Market performance health and market dynamics to provide a summary for Empath Health Executive Leadership to influence decisions.
- Lead and strategize with the COO and CAO in the continued evolution of the organization's customer driven culture with world-class patient experience.
- Develop collaborative partnerships with sales teams, clinical staff, marketing and communications, and other functional areas in the organization.
- Achieve growth targets and strategic KPI's set for the area of responsibility.
- Establish training and education courses that grow our mission, vision and value offering in the community
- Monitor market and competitor products and activities and provide detailed sales forecasting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field or a nursing degree or healthcare related administration field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in a leadership position
- Experience of 2 years or more leading leaders
- Minimum of 4 years' experience working in a selling role and with sales technology and CRM software.
- In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
- Strong working knowledge of healthcare, specifically Hospice, Value Based Care and Home Health in the Florida market.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Proven experience and track record in successfully achieving revenue and profit growth in healthcare.
- Strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills
- Established network with experience in building business to business relationships.
- Results-oriented, entrepreneurial
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with ability to cold call potential clients with confidence.
- Financial acumen, with ability to compile data analytics in an impactful, meaningful manner.
- Solid interpersonal, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills with demonstrated success at closing deals with clients.
- Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, plan, and execute multiple projects under the pressure of deadlines.
- Ability to work professionally with sensitive information and maintain complete confidentiality.
- Flexibility, with ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Intermediate or Advanced user of CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HCHB electronic medical records system.
