Congressional Public Affairs Analyst

We are seeking a Congressional Affairs Analyst to support the Department of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy (DASN) team located at the Pentagon, in Arlington, VA. This position is onsite.

• Support the DASN with congressional matters
• Support the Dod, Navy and Congressional budget processes
• Candidate will work in a team environment and independantly, while under multiple timelines and short notice
• Candidate should understand the appropriations and PPBE process

Required skills:

• 5 years experience working with the Navy, specifically within the Department of the Navy (DON) acquisition community.
• Must have High School diploma
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote);
• Must have active DoD Secret Clearance and ability to maintain one.

Preferred skills:

• Experience working at the Pentagon;
• Experience dealing with the US House of Representtives or the US Senate or both.
• Knowledge of the ETMS2 tracker for the Navy a plus
• Experience with DON/DOD Public Affairs is a plus
• ASN RD&A familiarity.
