Position: Ocean Export Coordinator
Location: Torrance, CA (onsite)
Working Hour: 8:30am - 5:00pm
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire
OVERVIEW:
An international ocean logistics company in Torrance is seeking an Ocean Export Coordinator to manage documentation and clearance for export shipments while ensuring client satisfaction. Ocean export experience is preferred but not required.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, vendors, overseas offices, and agents regarding shipments.
Prepare, review, and process all necessary export documentation.
Provide prompt and effective customer service, escalating issues to the Supervisor as needed.
Coordinate shipping details, including export licenses, customs declarations, and routing.
Monitor shipment progress and provide status updates to clients and vendors.
Troubleshoot customer service issues, including accounts payable and receivable functions.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in Ocean Export and/or Import is highly preferred.
Strong time management and customer service skills.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications.
Japanese bilingual skills are a plus.
