Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Bridge Cadd Technician, we'll count on you to:



  • Prepare drawings from general instruction and preliminary sketches, diagrams, or schematics using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of Structural Engineers, Designers and Technicians.
  • Require preparation of highway bridge drawings using MicroStation.
  • Coordinate with other team members including engineers, managers, administrative staff, and construction staff.
  • Perform other duties as needed.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiarity with TxDOT CADD standards.
  • Experience working with OpenBridge Modeler (OBM) or other parametric 3d software.
  • Detail oriented with good organizational and planning skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project managers.
  • Preference given to local candidates.

Required Qualifications
  • Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
  • Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Experience with 3D Coordination tools
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
  • Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
